VENY vs Edith Surreal to main event WrestleQueerdom, more trans and non-binary talents announced

While the event is still over two months away, excitement continues to grow for WrestleQueerdom with more and more talents being announced.

The first of its kind event is set to take place in The Hampshire Dome, and it will turn the spotlight towards trans and non-binary talents of the past, present, and future.

The event, promoted and hosted by TransGraps, is set for 7pm ET on Saturday, August 6, 2022, and the domed venue in Milford, New Hampshire can host as many as 3,000 attendees.

VENY vs Edith Surreal set for historic main event

More is still to be revealed about WrestleQueerdom, but one thing we already know for sure is that the main event is set with VENY making her United States debut.

VENY, also known in her career as ASUKA, is a trailblazer as an openly trans wrestler in Japan and has already had an impact since her debut in 2015.

VENY was ranked No. 56 on the PWI Women’s 150 in 2021, No. 14 on the QWI in 2021, and has held multiple championships in DDT Pro-Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Wave, and Seadlinnng.

Meanwhile, she’s up against the constantly rising star that is Edith Surreal, a trailblazer in her own right on the American independent scene.

Edith Surreal was ranked No. 140 on the PWI Women’s 150 in 2021, No. 8 on the QWI in 2021, has won the Chikara Young Lions Cup, and holds the coveted accolade of winning the first Cassandro Cup.

On top of being groundbreaking for putting two trans competitors in a singles main event, VENY and Edith Surreal are among the most skilled in-ring athletes around today who are sure to put on an instant classic.

WrestleQueerdom Announced Card & Confirmed Talents

With two months to go before WrestleQueerdom finally arrives, there are still more announcements and matches to be revealed.

However, we’ve already got confirmation of the following five matches:

  • Kidd Bandit vs. Don’t Die Miles
  • Eden Von Engelend vs. Shea McCoy
  • Candy Lee vs. Mariah Moreno
  • Max The Impaler vs. Kota Holliday
  • VENY vs. Edith Surreal

In addition, the following talents have been confirmed but haven’t yet had their match revealed: Cameron Saturn, Zeke Mercer, Richie Coy, Gwendolyn-Garnet Neodonna, and Amber Jo.
