WWE Royal Rumble 2023: Carmelo Hayes Won’t Miss This Time

WWE Royal Rumble 2023 is set to begin in approximately 4 hours (as of the time of writing), and though this article might seem last minute, my dark horse pick to win this year's men's, Royal Rumble, certainly is not. No, I've known my pick since December 10th, 2022. I began fantasy booking Carmelo Hayes' Road to WrestleMania in the final 45 seconds of the first-ever men's Iron Survivor Challenge, just as he hits "nothing but net" only to have victory snatched from his fingertips. Now, I know what some of you are thinking. It makes no sense to book Melo's ascent to championship glory in the City of Angels at this point, and you'd be right. For now. So, for the time being, let's discuss why Carmelo Hayes is my dark horse pick to win this year's Men's Royal Rumble Match. https://youtu.b...

WWE Royal Rumble 2023: Chelsea Green is THE Dark Horse

WWE Royal Rumble 2023 is three days from now, and the WWE has made five matches official for this “premium live event”. Obviously, WWE will stick to tradition by hosting men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches this year. They also made official the following matchups: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Title, and Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Pitch Black Match. The following will provide a special dark horse prediction for the Women's Royal Rumble at WWE Royal Rumble 2023 this Saturday. That dark horse's name is none other than Chelsea Green. https://youtu.be/wXspWEXfaMg My pick for the dark horse for the Women's Royal Rumble is Chelsea Green. This would be the perfect way to reintroduce her to ...

WWE has only proven Sasha Banks and Naomi right since they both walked

(Offers tea to everyone coming into the chat) Hello humans. My name is Candice. Welcome to the LTW (Let Them Wrestle) TED Talk. You may all be seated at this point and time. You're so huggable. So, before we get started in here, like the Black Eyed Peas said, let's all take a deep breath. 3... 2... 1. Inhale. Now Exhale. Alright. Let's proceed, humans. I'm sure you are all huggable humans. You are! So, you all know when news broke about Naomi & Sasha Banks walking out of WWE a couple of weeks back? Why? Why did they walk out? Somebody talk to me! How did we get here, humans? Hmm? Cause and effect, people! Cause and effect! What is it? Everybody do me a good favor and go to Dictionary.com for me. Ok? I'm telling you do this for a reason. Now type in "Cause ...

Liv Morgan’s journey to becoming a world champion in WWE

There are so many things I love about professional wrestling, but I don't think anything tops watching a babyface get their moment. The weeks - months, really - leading to the big win are filled with uncertainty. Are we actually going to see this happen? Or is the rug going to be pulled out from underneath them just like last year? Liv Morgan has been able to get fans behind her for years. In 2019, a lot of fans started pinpointing her as a future world champion, taking note of how rapidly she had improved while with the Riott Squad. I believe there are fans who underestimate the impact Liv had in 2018 and 2019. Raw was in a rough spot in 2018. There wasn't a full-time men's champion, with Brock Lesnar effectively holding the title hostage. And the Women's Division, as usual, was lef...

Wes Lee positioned to break out as a singles star on NXT

When MSK first debuted in the then Black & Gold version of NXT, many, including myself, were excited to see the team formerly known as The Rascalz in WWE (even minus a member). Wes Lee (Dez or Desmond Xavier) was, to me, always the standout between he and Nash Carter (Wentz or Zachary Wentz), and now he finally has an opportunity to set his mark as a singles star. However, let's first revisit MSK's (and Lee's) journey in NXT since debuting in January 2021. MSK's arrival, rise, and fall in NXT and 2.0 MSK - comprised of Lee and the recently released Carter - found immediate success: they won the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. They then won the (vacant) NXT Tag Team Championship for the first time in a triple threat match against their Dusty Classic ...

WWE NXT 2.0: Dakota Kai Had Defining Moments in Her NXT Career

Dakota Kai was released from WWE this week in what seems to be the biggest loss in the NXT Women's Division in recent memory. She reportedly was not planning to renew her WWE contract, so she can go to another company that will appreciate her value both in the ring and on the mic after her 90-day non-compete clause expires. While it is exciting to see what she does next in her pro wrestling journey, it is also important to take a retrospective look at what she has accomplished in the WWE. The following will identify and expound on Dakota Kai's defining moments on WWE NXT 2.0. https://youtu.be/0PaEFgJexL4 5.) Mae Young Classic 2017 Quarterfinalist Dakota Kai defeated Kavita Devi and Rhea Ripley in the first two rounds of the Mae Young Classic Tournament before losing to the winner of t...

WWE Raw: Rhea Ripley Will Do Wonders With Her Nascent Heel Turn

Rhea Ripley turned heel on Liv Morgan two weeks ago after they lost their Women's Tag Team Championship match against Sasha Banks and Naomi. Ripley has been stuck in the tag division with Nikki ASH and Liv Morgan ever since losing the Raw Women's Championship to Charlotte Flair last year, so it's been a long time coming for her to turn things around and pursue her singles career again. The following will analyze the pros and cons of Rhea Ripley's nascent heel turn on WWE Raw. https://youtu.be/kR6yYiR_9-A Pros: Rhea Ripley can use this heel turn on Liv Morgan to establish herself as a main event player again. She has been unnecessarily held back in the tag division when she should be in the same conversation with top singles stars like Bianca Belair and the Four Horsewomen. There have ...

AEW: Cody Rhodes Will Undoubtedly Be Undeniable in WWE

Cody Rhodes is going to WWE? Is this a work or was it always part of the plan? Why would Cody Rhodes call AEW the Ellis Island (a.k.a. freedom) of professional wrestling and crawl back to the "forbidden land" of sports entertainment? Was it because of money? Was it because of ego? Or was it because it was best for business? The following will dissect all 3 issues yet still elucidate why Cody Rhodes going to WWE was a SMART business move. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4Ue6pON9yY Money Money. It can be argued that the man has wife and kids and needs the extra dough. If WWE offered more money to Cody than AEW, it can be argued that Cody left because he was frustrated with the lack of compensation in the new contract that was proposed. However, there’s another way of looking at this...
