You know, somewhere, there is an old saying. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe, that’s the reason everything’s happened the way it happened for Asuka.

You see before Asuka got injured and sidelined for months, what was happening in Asuka’s career? Nothing! Literally nothing was happening in her career.

No real storylines. No real feuds. No real direction.

Making matters worse, all of that has been continuous from the WWE virtually the entire time she’s been on the main roster.

In a way, that break Asuka got might end up being a blessing in disguise.

Her return at the Royal Rumble was so beautiful. The pop, the mask, her performance, the transformation into her kana character, and definitely her performance.

Wish she would’ve been in the rumble a little bit longer. But, she did what she needed to do!

Then, you have Bianca Belair, The RAW women’s champion.

Alright. Rhea Ripley chooses Charlotte Flair, The Smackdown women’s champion, to challenge at WrestleMania. Okay, cool.

Asuka will face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 39

But, but, but… What about Bianca? Who [cue The New Day sounds] on earth would challenge Bianca?

Well, Asuka is my only answer. And Asuka is what we got! Haha!

How long has Bianca Belair been RAW women’s champion again? Over 300 days?!

And please somebody tell me where Bianca Belair win this very championship? Wait, what was that? WrestleMania!

Oh, and check this out! Who was the last person to hold that same championship anywhere near as long?

(Listens) What you say? Asuka?! Asuka was the last one?! Well, will you look at that.

All of this is not counting the athletic ability and wrestling talent they both possess.

As I see it, WWE  absolutely made the right decision.

Now what might be tricky is how WWE would pull that storytelling off. April is not that far off.

WWE’s ability to give the women’s division real storytelling has always been very hit-and-miss and I’m highly doubting they’re going to be able to pull that off between now and WrestleMania.

More than a title match

That’s why I strongly believe WrestleMania needs to be more of a setting-off point than just a championship match! Especially with a reintroduction to Asuka’s heel persona.

It needs depth and real storyline depth takes time to achieve. The bloodline storyline is the biggest example of that right now.

Maybe not a storyline quite that long, in this case. But, you get my point. WWE’s Women’s Division needs a real good storyline and the main roster really doesn’t have that right now.

No better women to do that with than Bianca Belair and Asuka right now.

If WWE were smart, they would give them this thing called… time! Give them time!

A top-tier wrestling match, with time, At WrestleMania, and for the love of Beyoncé, have them main event, please! We all know Bianca is going to deliver! Asuka is damn sure going to deliver!

Asuka should win the title after WM

Let them take their time, please!

We need us a Red Skull, a Thanos, for our Captain America, our Captain Marvel!

Asuka/Kana needs a reason to snap. Something that would turn her super heel! What better way than at WrestleMania?

Yeah. WWE could give Asuka that big win at WrestleMania. Does Asuka need that win more than Bianca? Absolutely! But, in this case, it’s more about the long term than putting the belt on Asuka as soon as possible.

Again, turn Asuka super heel and have Asuka win that belt at a later date! Specifically, at Hell in a Cell or Summerslam!

It’s not about the destination, remember? It’s the journey!

We’re just around the corner from Asuka getting her well-deserved epic, dominating reign and the wisest thing to do here is the make people wait just a little more before that happens in order for that moment of Asuka’s reign of terror to sink in like the titanic!

Ah. yes. This is gonna be sweet.
