AEW Revolution 2023 is two months from now, and the AEW has not made any matches official for this PPV yet. More specifically, it has not yet made a title match official for the AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter. Jamie Hayter shocked the world when she dethroned Toni Storm at AEW Full Gear 2022. Since then, she retained her title against former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida in the main event of AEW Dynamite three weeks ago and won a major tag team match alongside Britt Baker against Toni Storm and Saraya last week. Hayter is incredibly over with the AEW fanbase and is on the run of her life right now. However, there are some top challengers or ‘hayters’ in her path who could put that to an end real quick.
With that being said, the following will provide three top potential challengers for Jamie Hayter at what should be one of the most exciting PPVs of the year: AEW Revolution 2023.
3.) Thunder Rosa
Thunder Rosa never lost the AEW Women’s Championship and is still owed her rematch upon return from injury. Since she has unfinished business with Toni Storm, she can defeat Storm on Dynamite to get her momentum back before battling Hayter for the championship. The story is simple here between Rosa and Hayter. Rosa merely wants what she never lost, but she won’t win if she battles Hayter at Revolution. The right move would be to book Rosa to put over Hayter here, especially since Rosa’s first title reign was a tad underwhelming and she would need to regain her credibility in the main event scene before getting another title run.
2.) Saraya
Saraya had gotten a huge PPV debut victory against former AEW Women’s Champion Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. at AEW Full Gear, so she not only has the name value but also the sufficient momentum to insert herself in a title match against Jamie Hayter. It is a tad concerning that Saraya could not even breathe well during that first AEW match again Baker, but there’s no question that she is fully capable of getting ring-ready for a big title match. However, she won’t win because she is a veteran who can needs to put over Hayter and she’s a babyface, which wouldn’t do any good, since a heel needs to end this reign for the heat.
1.) Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.
Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. is the ideal opponent for Jamie Hayter at AEW Revolution 2023 because she is legitimately booked as Hayter’s best friend. Baker took Hayter under her wing from the start, and it must be eating at Baker inside that Hayter is on the verge of becoming a more successful champion than her. Baker’s character in AEW loves the spotlight, and she will be like a gloomy cloud hanging above Hayter’s head as she holds that title. Once she betrays Hayter, the heel heat will be massive when Baker dethrones Hayter at AEW Revolution 2023 to become the first ever two-time AEW Women’s Champion.
