AEW Full Gear 2022 Predictions: MJF Will Send Jon Moxley Straight To Hell

AEW Full Gear 2022 is three days away as it is scheduled to take place this Saturday on November 19, 2022. AEW has made nine matches officials for this event. There is a lot of hype behind this PPV, especially due to the recent returns of MJF and Saraya respectively. The following will provide match card predictions for the potential match card based on the current feuds in AEW. It’s now time to preview and predict one of the biggest PPVs of the year: AEW Full Gear 2022.

The Acclaimed (c) vs. Swerve In Our Glory [AEW Tag Team Championships]

The Acclaimed will defeat Swerve In Our Glory to retain the AEW Tag Team Championships in this title rematch because Keith Lee and Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Stricklend are on the verge of breaking up and The Acclaimed have developed their gimmick to the point that it has become championship material. Keith Lee and Stricklend can blow off their feud at some point, so there’s no need for them to win back the titles. The Acclaimed have a plethora of challengers to keep the division fresh in the months to come.

Prediction: The Acclaimed

Jade Cargill (c) vs. Nyla Rose [AEW TBS Title]

Jade Cargill will defeat Nyla Rose to retain the TBS Women’s Title and continue her winning streak. Kris Statlander should be the one to dethrone Cargill, but her injury unfortunately hindered her from this extraterrestrial opportunity and left her off the shelf for 6-8 months. Nyla Rose is a former world champion and thereby a credible challenger for Cargill. However, the booking idea to have Rose steal the title and run around with the title alongside Vickie Guerrero does not make her a formidable threat.

Prediction: Jade Cargill

Darby Allin & Sting vs. Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett [Tag Match]

Darby Allin and Sting will defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett because they are a legitimate tag team who needs momentum for a future tag title opportunity. There is really nothing to gain with a Lethal & Jarrett victory. They are merely a makeshift team put together to take a meaningless loss to Allin and Sting. However, the one appealing quality of this match is a full timer and part timer vs. full timer and part timer. Maybe, AEW will create another pair of titles for that category since they already have 16 titles.

Prediction: Darby Allin & Sting

Jungle Boy vs. Luchasaurus [Grudge Match]

Jungle Boy will defeat Luchasaurus because Jungle Boy needs to continue his momentum until his main rival, Christian Cage, returns from his injury for a rematch. Jungle Boy got squashed by Christian Cage at All Out, but he will inevitably get his babyface payoff after this PPV. As a pillar of AEW, Jungle Boy has the potential to move the needle as a future top babyface in either the mid card or the main event scene. The mid card is his next step after his successful tag title reign.

Prediction: Jungle Boy

Wardlow (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs [TNT Championship]

Powerhouse Hobbs will defeat Wardlow to become the new TNT Champion and fully solidify his nascent heel turn on Starks without falling into the trap of unnecessary 50:50 booking. He squashed Starks at All Out and already confronted Wardlow with his eyes on the TNT Championship. Hobbs has been built like a monster heel just like Wardlow before he broke away from MJF, so it will be cool to see their worlds collide soon. The TNT Title is what Hobbs needs to break out as the next big thing in AEW.

Prediction: Powerhouse Hobbs

Saraya vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. [Grudge Match]

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. will defeat Saraya in what will be the biggest swerve of the night since everyone is expecting Saraya to win her AEW PPV debut. Although it makes the most sense in the world for Saraya to win her first match back from injury, all logic is defied when someone battles Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. Indeed, Baker is the Charlotte Flair of the AEW Women’s Division, and she will win for the HEAT to build up a trilogy with Saraya for the inevitable babyface off whilst simultaneously feuding with Jamie Hayter.

Prediction: Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Sammy Guevara [ROH World Championship]

Bryan Danielson will defeat Chris Jericho, Claudio Castagnoli, and Sammy Guevara to become the new ROH World Champion because he is involved in a bigger storyline with Chris Jericho at the moment and can finally get his first big PPV win by dethroning an established Jericho. Also, Daniel Garcia is the current ROH Pure Champion, so it would make sense in storyline for Danielson and Garcia to make a run together as the champions in ROH once Garcia fully breaks away from Jericho.

Prediction: Bryan Danielson

Brian Cage vs. Ricky Starks [Future AEW World Title Shot]

Ricky Starks will defeat Brian Cage to earn a future AEW World Title Shot because he is the only babyface in this tournament who can battle a heel champion. Since he defeated Hobbs, he might as well get a title shot in the main event scene before falling back to the mid card. Both individuals are former FTW Champions and need this win to maintain their credibility, but Starks needs the win more since his babyface run has been pretty hot lately.

Prediction: Brian Cage

Toni Storm (c) vs. Jamie Hayter [AEW Women’s Title]

Toni Storm will retain the AEW Women’s Championship against Jamie Hayter because she recently won the championship and needs to hold onto that title until Thunder Rosa returns for the title rematch they were supposed to have before Rosa got injured. Jamie Hayter is an up and coming star who is primed for a big push. However, this will just be a solid rub for her as she merely shows her potential in a strong showing and continues her feud with Baker after a potential distraction from Baker at ringside.

Prediction: Toni Storm

Jon Moxley (c) vs. MJF [AEW World Title]

MJF will defeat Jon Moxley to become the new Undisputed World Champ because he needs to solidify his return and Casino Ladder Match victory with this title victory. It has been long overdue for MJF to win the world title, as he has been a common staple on AEW television that continuously draws week by week. He does not even need to wrestle to draw the fans. He has so much power on that microphone, and he delivers inside that squared circle when it matters most. Moxley can enjoy his vacation now.

Prediction: MJF
