AEW All Out 2022 Predictions: MJF Will Finally Avenge CM Punk

AEW All Out 2022 is two weeks away as it is scheduled to take place during Labor Day Weekend on September 4, 2022, and AEW has made five matches officials so far for this event. Even though AEW All Out 2022 is supposed to be one of the biggest events on the AEW calendar, there are still five more main show matches and at least one buy-in match left to be scheduled. The following will provide match card predictions for the potential match card based on the current feuds in AEW. It’s now time to preview and predict one of the biggest events of the year: AEW All Out 2022.

Wardlow & FTR (c) vs. Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh & Sonjay Dutt [Six-Man Tag Match]

Wardlow & FTR will defeat Jay Lethal and his friends because they are all champions who should not lose on PPV. Wardlow is still maintaining his dominance early in his title run, and FTR is unquestionably the greatest tag team champs on the planet today. These champs have bigger fish to fry on the roster, so this should merely be a momentum builder going forward. With that being said, it is quite peculiar that this match warranted a spot on the card, but it’s certainly a way to book the champions on the card.

Prediction: Wardlow & FTR

Jade Cargill (c) vs. Athena [AEW TBS Title]

Athena will dethrone Jade Cargill to become the new TBS Women’s Champion and finally break her winning streak. Kris Statlander was supposed to be a vital component of this feud, but her injury unfortunately hindered her from this extraterrestrial opportunity and left her off the shelf for 6-8 months. Jade Cargill has gotten the upper hand over Athena in this feud with a tag victory alongside her Baddies as well as a vicious sledgehammer attack that made Triple H’s look like amateur hour.

Although it would be nice for Cargill to continue her Goldberg-esque winning streak, the stage is big enough for her streak to end against a veteran whom she need not be ashamed to lose to in the grand scheme of things. The momentum in this feud will shift back to Athena at the PPV, where she will get her revenge for the attacks and win her first title in AEW. Athena will be a breath of fresh air in the mid card division as she will aim to put over the next top heel after defending the belt over the next few months.

Prediction: Athena

Christian Cage vs. Jungle Boy [Grudge Match]

Christian Cage will defeat Jungle Boy to solidify his nascent heel turn on Jungle Boy and avenge him for eliminating him from the Casino Battle Royal at AEW Double or Nothing 2021. Jungle Boy can afford a loss here because he is fresh off a tag title run and can get his babyface payoff in a rematch down the line against Christian. After this victory, Christian will have earned himself a TNT Title opportunity. He will be the one to dethrone Wardlow and proceed to put Jungle Boy over for the inevitable babyface payoff.

Prediction: Christian Cage

Miro, Darby Allin, & Sting vs. House of Black [Six-Man Tag Match]

Miro, Darby Allin, and Sting will defeat House of Black because Miro needs to ‘redeem’ himself against Malakai Black and win his first PPV upon return from injury. It can be argued that HOB should win this match since they are a legitimate faction who needs momentum for a future trios title opportunity. However, they are on the verge of losing to Dark Order in the first round of the trios tournament so they need to get to the back of the line before earning another PPV victory over some game competition.

Prediction: Miro, Darby Allin, & Sting

Eddie Kingston (w/Ruby Soho) vs. Sammy Guevara (w/Tay Conti) [Grudge Match]

Sammy Guevara will defeat Eddie Kingston because AEW is pushing the agenda of the power couple here and the main event scene needs more credible heels than babyfaces to fill the void MJF left. Since Guevara is the only heel pillar left, he needs to regain his momentum after losing the TNT Title. Eddie Kingston’s momentum has also been shaky after losing to Punk and Jericho, but he did pick up a big Blood & Guts victory so he can afford a loss before he accomplishes his goal of making Jericho tap out.

Prediction: Sammy Guevara

MJF vs. PAC vs. Andrade El Idolo vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks vs. Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Stricklend vs. Keith Lee [Casino Ladder Match]

MJF will win the Casino Ladder Match because he is rumored to return to AEW and has the perfect choice between his two rivals, Wardlow and CM Punk, to choose from once he wins this match. AEW All Atlantic Champ PAC, Andrade, and Orange Cassidy won’t have much going on after they lose in the trios tournament, so they can be booked here for cool spots. As for Tag Champs Swerve In Our Glory and Team TAZ, they already teased signs of dissension so they can fight out their frustrations in this match.

Prediction: MJF

Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho [Grudge Match]

Bryan Danielson will defeat Chris Jericho because Daniel Garcia will interfere to help Bryan win and thereby show his newborn allegiance to the Blackpool Combat Club (BCC) as a sign of respect for the wars he had with Bryan on AEW Dynamite. This will also show Garcia’s transition from being a sports entertainer in JAS to becoming a professional wrestler in BCC, for he has shown that as a dynamic submission specialist with technically sound maneuvers and proficient in-ring psychology.

Prediction: Bryan Danielson

Kenny Omega & Young Bucks vs. Hangman Adam Page & Dark Order [AEW Trios Championships]

Kenny Omega & Young Bucks will defeat Hangman Adam Page & Dark Order in the finals of the AEW Trios Tournament because Kenny Omega needs to win his first PPV upon return from injury, the Young Bucks need to regain their momentum after losing the tag titles in what was a transitional title run, and the entire group needs to continue their rivalry with Adam Cole & ReDragon for those trios titles so that the titles remain prestigious. That feud is based on Elite loyalty, which they all violated and must settle.

Prediction: Kenny Omega & Young Bucks

Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Toni Storm [AEW Women’s Title]

Thunder Rosa will retain the AEW Women’s Championship against Toni Storm because she is on the verge of turning heel after the inadvertent attacks by Storm in their time together as ThunderStorm. Rosa will defeat Storm with a dirty tactic to solidify her heel turn and move on to new babyface challengers, like Ruby Soho, and former world champions, like Riho and Hikaru Shida. Meanwhile, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Jaimie Hayter will continue their feud with Toni Storm outside the title picture.

Prediction: Thunder Rosa

CM Punk (c) vs. Jon Moxley (c) [AEW World Title: 3 Stages of Hell Match]

CM Punk will defeat Jon Moxley to become the Undisputed World Champ in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Punk and Moxley are currently scheduled to battle for the world title on AEW Dynamite, but they will wrestle to a time limit draw and set up an extreme stipulation for the PPV. Punk will win to solidify his #1 spot in the division, and MJF will attack him after the match to make his decision very clear as to which champion he is targeting in what should be a perfect, high-stakes closing to their trilogy.

Prediction: CM Punk
