AEW All In 2023 Predictions: Edge Will Replace Swerve Stricklend

AEW All In 2023 Predictions! AEW All In should truly be an epic PPV for AEW this year. It has reportedly broken the All-Time Tickets Distributed Record set by WWE WrestleMania 32. Although there are plenty of contrived storylines being built for AEW All In, there are some potential show-stealing matches on this card that will be thrilling to watch. The most featured storyline is the bromance between MJF and Adam Cole, and there’s even speculation about Edge arriving at AEW All In. The following will provide match card predictions for the ten matches that are already scheduled, as of this writing. This was produced before the AEW Rampage and AEW Collision go-home episodes. Without further ado, here are the full rapid fire match card predictions for AEW All In 2023.

AEW All In 2023 will take place on August 27, 2023, at 1 p.m. E.S.T., live on PPV. Here are the full rapid fire match card predictions.

Aussie Open (c) vs. MJF and Adam Cole [ROH World Tag Team Championships]

Double Clothesline incoming?! MJF and Adam Cole will dethrone Aussie Open to become the new ROH Tag Team Champions. They have put in some solid work as an entertaining makeshift tandem to the point that the crowd adores their chemistry. It could be argued that MJF will betray Cole in this title match for some heel heat before their world title match later in the night. Indeed, MJF knows how to play the crowd into trusting him, but he is a snake at the end of the day and can very well make Cole look stupid here. However, MJF would not rule against have more gold around his waist, even if the titles are from ROH, a company that MJF looks down on now that he is on top of AEW and looks forward to “signing with WWE” in 2024. MJF and Cole are the popular picks to win here.

Prediction: MJ and Adam Cole

FTR (c) vs. Young Bucks [AEW World Tag Team Championships]

Jail Birds catch the worm?! FTR is in a bit of controversy recently due to Cash Wheeler being arrested for aggravated assault after  allegedly flashing a handgun at another motorist during what was a “road rage incident.” Despite this controversy, he and Dax Harwood are still competing at AEW All In. Since FTR are on one last run before they retire in 3-4 years, it was originally expected that they would retain here and continue their faction run with CM Punk. However, due to the recent controversy, it would be smart for AEW to drop the titles to Young Bucks, who can make anything work in the AEW Tag Team Division. From both a business standpoint and moral outlook, the titles would be safer in the hands of the Young Bucks as Cash Wheeler deals with his current charges.

Prediction: Young Bucks

Sting and Darby Allin vs. Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage [Tag Match]

Will Edge finally show up in AEW? It makes a ton of sense for Sting and Darby Allin to win here, as Darby Allin needs momentum for his TNT Title shot against Luchasaurus at AEW All Out a week later. However, this is a huge opportunity for AEW to make an unforgettable moment. Since Christian replaced AR Fox in this tag match, what if Edge replaces Swerve Stricklend in this match to reunite with Christian? The crowd would reek of excitement for that five second pose with flash photography, and that would easily set them up for future tag title shots against The Young Bucks. They can even pin Sting to protect Darby Allin from losing any momentum before his title match with Luchasaurus, who can feasibly distract Darby at ringside and stop him from saving Sting in defeat.

Prediction: Edge and Christian Cage

House of Black (c) vs. The Acclaimed [AEW World Trios Championships]

House of Black will defeat The Acclaimed to retain the AEW World Trios Championships because The Acclaimed already had their time in the limelight as tag champs and House of Black need to continue their dominance. The best babyface faction to topple House of Black would be Adam Cole and the Undisputed Era. There will be more on Adam Cole and his aspirations for the world title later in these predictions, but Roderick Strong has been heavily involved in Adam Cole’s storyline with MJF and Kyle O’ Reilly is expected to return sooner rather than later. They will eventually bring the band back together and win the trios titles together. But for now, there is no valid reason for House of Black to drop the belts on a big stage where they need the exposure as the victors.

Prediction: House of Black

The Golden Elite (Kenny Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page and Kota Ibushi) vs. Bullet Club Gold (Jay White, Juice Robinson and Konosuke Takeshita) [6-Man Tag Match]

The Golden Elite will win this match because Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page are the bigger, more popular stars who need the win in AEW’s biggest event. Although Bullet Club Gold has been entertaining, they have not really built up their credibility well enough with victories to warrant a PPV victory over the Golden Elite. Nonetheless, everyone in this match is eminently talented and their styles should mesh well together. Omega, in particular, also has not won on PPV in quite a long time. After losing the trios championships to House of Black at AEW Revolution, losing to BCC at AEW Double or Nothing, and losing the NJPW U.S.Title to Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door, Omega needs some wins back to kill this dry PPV spell he has been on.

Prediction: The Golden Elite

Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, Orange Cassidy and Best Friends vs. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Santana, and Ortiz [Stadium Stampede Match]

Eddie Kingston has this on and off long term feud with both Jericho Appreciation Society and Blackpool Combat Club, It has been confusing to keep track of, but the main selling point of this match is the history between Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley. These two teamed up a ton together in AEW, and they now have beef that needs to be squashed in the Stadium Stampede Match. Most hardcore fans like this match type due to its chaotic nature and pure-first brawls throughout the arena. It is the characteristic way for AEW to wrap up feuds that have loose ends. Since Orange Cassidy already has the International Title and Team BCC have been the more formidable and featured faction, it is likely that Jon Moxley maintains his almost flawless PPV record in a victory with his group.

Prediction: Team BCC

Chris Jericho vs. Will Ospreay [Homecoming Match]

Who likes some home-court advantage? Will Ospreay is from the UK, so he will win this homecoming match against Chris Jericho. Jericho is an established talent in AEW who usually wins matches he should not win, but there is no need for him to get heel heat here with a victory. This is AEW’s first big event in London, and it would leave a good first impression with the fans by booking their hometown hero to defeat a big name for the huge pop. Don Callis is also a huge factor in this match. He betrayed his friend, Chris Jericho, and sold out for money and fame to make history with Will Ospreay. He will likely help him win in the finishing moments as Ospreay finishes up his NJPW contract and makes a memorable debut in AEW with a huge victory over a former world champion.

Prediction: Will Ospreay

CM Punk (c) vs. Samoa Joe [AEW “Real” World Championship]

When CM Punk and Samoa Joe had their first singles match on AEW Collision, it was disappointing at first glance but it almost seemed as if they were holding back in the ring to save their best for this big PPV match. Punk has a really compelling story with the real AEW World Title. He never lost the title and he implemented an innovative technique of long term booking with the title being in the red bag the first day he returned to his show of AEW Collision. Despite the controversies Punk has been in with the AEW Locker Room lately, he is undoubtedly telling the best story with that championship and is still the biggest draw in AEW today. There is no need for him to lose to Joe, and he will move on to AEW All Out to fight the other AEW World Champion in an epic main event.

Prediction: CM Punk

Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Saraya vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. [AEW Women’s Championship]

It seems that Hikaru Shida won the title for the second time in her career from Toni Storm on the 200th episode of AEW Dynamite as a transitional babyface champion. Jamie Hayter was originally scheduled to walk into Wembley Stadium as the AEW Women’s Champion, and it can be presumed that she was supposed to battle the heel captain of Outcasts, Saraya, after defeating Ruby Soho and Toni Storm at AEW Revolution and AEW Double or Nothing respectively. However, due to Hayter’s injury, Storm was the last minute decision to win the title and they had to find a babyface champ to walk into Wembley Stadium and lose the title to Saraya. Shida was that choice, and Saraya will not only get revenge for Storm but also win her first AEW World Title in her home court.

Prediction: Saraya

MJF (c) vs. Adam Cole [AEW World Championship]

MJF will retain the AEW World Championship against Adam Cole in the main event. For months, it seemed that Cole was destined to end the reign of MJF, but MJF keeps on getting better and better as champion each week he enters the arena. The stories he is telling always steal the show, and this situation is no different. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Adam Cole has a consolation prize in the form of the Trios Championships with Undisputed Era after he loses this world title match here. MJF will move on to finish his trilogy with Punk at AEW All Out to determine the Undisputed AEW World Champion. Booking the most polarizing figures in AEW for the main event of All Out is what’s best for business, and CM Punk will be waiting on the ramp after MJF’s hand is raised.

Prediction: MJF
