WrestleMania is one of the most exciting PPVs of the year. When the NFL gets excited for the Super Bowl, MLB gets excited for the World Series, and NBA gets excited for the Playoffs, the WWE is getting excited for WrestleMania. Although there are plenty of contrived storylines being built, there are some potential show-stealing matches on this card that will be thrilling to watch. The following will provide predictions for five matches that will definitely be on the card. Without further ado, here are the foolproof predictions for WWE WrestleMania 38.
WWE WrestleMania 38 will take place on April 3, 2022, at 8 p.m. E.S.T., live on Peacock. Here are some foolproof predictions.
Usos (c) vs. Viking Raiders vs. Los Lotharios vs. The New Day [SmackDown Tag Team Championships]
Assuming Usos retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Viking Raiders, they will defend their championships in a multi-tag team match because there is no clear number one contender in what seems to be an infinitesimal tag team division. Usos already ran through The New Day at Day 1, and they really have no business battling fellow heels in Los Lotharios one on one due to the babyface-heel dynamics. Henceforth, they will defeat all of these teams in a fatal four way ladder match to retain the championships and solidify the dominance of the Bloodline.
Prediction: Usos
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair [Raw Women’s Championship]
Assuming Becky Lynch retains the Raw Women’s Championship against Lita, she will definitely finish her SummerSlam storyline with Bianca Belair in a championship match at WrestleMania 38. Our Kevin Parvizi expects Belair to redeem herself by dethroning Becky Lynch at Mania. Although it would be a suitable redemption arc from that SummerSlam fiasco, it seems that the WWE is more focused on building up Becky vs. Ronda for both belts in the near future. Henceforth, it appears that a Becky Lynch retention against a fellow WrestleMania main eventer is the more foreseeable result.
Prediction: Becky Lynch
Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin (w/Madcap Moss) [Grudge Match]
Assuming Drew McIntyre defeats Madcap Moss to avenge the attack at Day 1, Drew McIntyre will inevitably battle Happy Corbin at WrestleMania. He will not only defeat Corbin but he will also be the first superstar in WWE history to kick out of the End of Days. McIntyre needs this win in front of the fans to get back into the world title picture with the likes of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Although he missed the opportunity for a huge pop when he won the WWE Championship at Mania 36, he can still get a huge pop for kicking the head off of the most annoying and boring superstar on SmackDown.
Prediction: Drew McIntyre
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey [SmackDown Women’s Championship]
Assuming Charlotte Flair retains the SmackDown Women’s Title against Naomi, she will definitely keep her singles championship match with Ronda Rousey intact at WrestleMania 38. As noted earlier, it seems that the WWE is more focused on building up Becky vs. Ronda for both belts in the near future. Henceforth, Rousey will dethrone Charlotte to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. As Rousey said, Charlotte is not special… she’s just first. Rousey’s Rumble victory will be solidified with this championship victory and she will go on a tear until she meets Becky Lynch again at WrestleMania 39.
Prediction: Ronda Rousey
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar (c) [Title for Title: WWE & Universal Heavyweight Championships]
Assuming Roman Reigns retains the Universal Championship against Goldberg and Brock Lesnar wins back the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, Reigns and Lesnar will battle title for title. It has been teased by the WWE for weeks, and these are the seeds that need to be planted to finally merge the divisions. Roman Reigns will slay The Beast for the first time ever at WrestleMania and send him back to his farm with those methane-emitting cows. With both belts, Reigns will appear on both brands and have more opponents to bury for another year until he meets The Rock at WrestleMania 39.
Prediction: Roman Reigns
