WWE have been positioning Bron Breakker as one of the new top heels in the company, if not THE up and coming top heel alongside Gunther. He is the leader of The Vision, a faction that includes two massive names in Logan Paul and Paul Heyman.
But it is Breakker, the nephew of wrestling legend Scott Steiner, who is the face of it, and he is really starting to come into his own and thrive, especially after working a fiery program with the GOAT of talkers in CM Punk.
Breakker nearly had a huge victory to cement his status as the next big thing in WWE in 2026, but he had, like so many others have in the past, the rug pulled out from underneath him.
According to a surprising new report from the Wrestling Observer News, at one point WWE actually had Bron Breakker planned to win the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
The plan was actually to continue the feud between Breakker and CM Punk as one of the WrestleMania 42 world title matches with Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes being the other.
But because WWE changed their plan to Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre and CM PUnk vs. Roman Reigns instead of having Cody and Roman battle it out for the WrestleMania Trilogy, Breakker’s crowning win had to be sacrificed for a rather lukewarm Reigns Rumble win.
Even though WWE screwed over Breakker for now by having him lose a Rumble match he would have otherwise won, the fact that he was the originally planned winner shows that 1) he will win in the future and 2) WWE are one thousand percent behind this guy as a top, top star.
