Who will The Rock face at WWE WrestleMania 41?

Last year, The Rock stole the spotlight during WWE WrestleMania season, and many fans feared that he would take Cody Rhodes's spot to face Roman Reigns for the world championship, because after Cody lost the title in heartbreaking fashion to the Tribal Chief in 2023, the assumption was that he'd get his revenge in 2024. Cody eventually did, and while that was the right call, there were others who understood The Rock's argument that he, WWE, and Roman had planned a title match between the two cousins for years when Roman's new character was first forged. When will The Rock turn on Roman Reigns to set up WrestleMania 41 match?

The Rock made his return to WWE television on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix, and while he didn't have a whole of interesting things to SAY on the mic, other than show some respect to the two men he traded barbs with last year (Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns), he DID something quite intriguing, even if it was expected. If The Rock is going to show up on WWE television these days, then it had better mean something. And The Rock didn't just give WWE some extra rub to a more mainstream crowd perusing the show on their nightly Netflix plunge; he subtly sowed the seeds of a future turn on his cousin, Roman.
