One of WWE’s most beloved up-and-coming stars is going to get her push

WWE have a ton of up-and-coming talent who they haven’t really pulled the trigger on and taken them to the next level. LA Knight might be the best example of someone who is ready to burst into the main event scene and take that leap up the card or hold a championship, but, once again, WWE snubbed him at Money in the Bank and went with a much more established name in Seth Rollins to help solidify his recent heel turn.

There are even higher-upside and more universally popular wrestlers than Knight who are still waiting their chance, such as former NXT stud Carmelo Hayes, who hasn’t done much besides team up with The Miz, though his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal victory will, hopefully, be a harbinger of bigger and better things for Melo than it was for his predecessors.

But there’s another intriguing NXT alumn with WrestleMania main event potential who is ready for a big push and a belt around her waist on Friday nights in 2025, and that woman is Giulia.

A sensation in Japan before jumping to WWE, Giulia has been as good as advertised, and the normally fickle and nitpicky WWE Universe have almost universally taken a liking to Giulia, who is hard-hitting, conniving, technical, and absolutely bad-ass.

The United States Championship could use a new face

According to a report from PW Insider.com’s Mike Johnson, Giulia will be considerably in the spotlight on WWE programming in the coming weeks. And that is code for WWE is going to be giving her a push and either putting a belt on her or testing the waters for her to get the title.

Right now, Zelina Vega is the United States Women’s Champion on Friday nights after winning the belt about 50 days ago off Chelsea Green, who was a sensational champion to help set that title up as a prestigious one.

There’s nothing wrong with Zelina, but that title could use a fresh, heel face leading it, and Giulia looks like a perfect pick. She’s been exceptional on any night she’s been on, whether it’s working with Roxanne Perez, competing in Money in the Bank, mixing it up with Charlotte Flair in the ring, or battling Stephanie Vaquer back in NXT.

Giulia is one of the best wrestlers in the company, and she also has strong character work. She is a true prodigy of this business and just has this incredible presence about her that fans gravitate towards, no matter if she is working as a face or a heel.

It will be exciting to see how WWE utilize Giulia and to see more of her going forward. She’s shown that she is a main event caliber wrestler, and before she can make a huge rise up the card over the next year, it’s time for her to get more of a push and, hopefully, a chance to hold that United States Title for more than 100 days and work a couple of big-ticket programs in there as WWE look to increase the prestige of its new mid-card women’s belts.
