This Sunday, Game Changer Wrestling prepares to make history inside Hammerstein Ballroom as they present The Wrld on GCW. As an already exciting night draws near, we’re getting a clearer picture of exactly which matches will take center stage as GCW goes live on pay-per-view.
Back on New Year’s Day, GCW Die 4 This hosted the Do or Die Rumble. This over-the-top-rope battle royal saw 20 of the hungriest wrestlers around compete for the opportunity to challenge GCW Champion Jon Moxley at The Wrld on GCW.
EFFY was expected to take part in that Do or Die Rumble, but he ran up against an unexpected obstacle earlier in the night. As EFFY declared his intentions, the lights went out and suddenly lifted to reveal a man in black.
The unemployed man appeared to have no connection to GCW at all, and had oddly chosen to arrive in what could only be described as tryhard Johnny Cash cosplay. This rogue assailant suddenly brandished a guitar, and in the blink of an eye he had assaulted EFFY in pure El Kabong style.
This Johnny Cash cosplayer then proceeded to drag EFFY around the ring with the guitar wrapped around his neck, a true show of disrespect to one of GCW’s most notable competitors. After the attack, the man revealed his face and was later identified as failed wrestling promoter Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett.
After making a surprise return to his former employer, or independent contract holder, World Wrestling Entertainment back in 2019, he then moved backstage and became a full-time member of the impeccable and critically acclaimed WWE creative team. Apparently things didn’t work out, as Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett was reportedly let go by the company, though he did seem to insist it was amicable.
Since his allegedly mutually agreed upon departure, Jarrett has been missing and presumed irrelevant. Unfortunately, he’s given up job hunting and now prefers to thwack BUSSY at GCW events while dressed as Johnny Cash.
Just two weeks after attacking EFFY, that same unemployed “Man in Black” magically transported to the ring and El Kabong’d Allie Katch following her victory against Kylie Rae. Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett then went so far as to hit the Bree Woo, and he’s apparently threatened to Bree Woo management.
ive been watching jeff jarrett smash women with guitars since i was born.
there is one woman in this world that i can not stand. there is one woman in this world that i have had to deal with for countless hours. countless messages. countless voice messages.

At least, we’re assuming he was threatening the Bree Woo, because there’s no other logical reason to have arrived at this moment. Jeffrey Leonard Jarrett’s unrestricted BUSSY assassinations have now reached a boiling point, and EFFY has agreed to face this clout vampire at The Wrld on GCW. The event will take place at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom, and the already sold out crowd will be the largest gathering of fans to ever witness wrestling in that building.
The news was confirmed Monday via the official Game Changer Wrestling account on Twitter, and the reactions have been across the spectrum. Some fans threatened the Bree Woo in the replies, but others insisted EFFY will be fine at The Wrld on GCW.
If you want to watch EFFY vs. Unemployed Johnny Cash Cosplayer at The Wrld on GCW, you can purchase the event for $24.99 on FITE or on pay-per-view via your cable provider. GCW heads to the Hammerstein on Sunday, January 23, 2022, and the event is scheduled to kick off promptly at 8pm ET.
