AEW Maximum Carnage Predictions: Kenny Omega Will Endanger MJF – January 14, 2026

AEW Maximum Carnage is scheduled to take place on January 14, 2026, live on TBS Network, at the Arizona Financial Theatre, in Phoenix, Arizona, and MJF will be confronted by Kenny Omega after burying Bandido in the main event. Without further ado, here are the official AEW Maximum Carnage Predictions.

MJF (c) vs. Bandido [AEW World Title]

MJF just won the belt at AEW Worlds End from Samoa Joe, so his first challenger was bound to inevitably lose. Despite winning the Diamond Ring Battle Royal, it’s unfortunate that Bandido is not even a legitimate threat to the World Title due to his continuous booking in the mid card and tag divisions. He really is “mid.”

It doesn’t help matters that MJF brought a translator to the ring to mock Bandido when Bandido actually knows how to speak English. Nonetheless, after MJF buries Bandido and sends him back to the mid card, Omega will confront MJF after the match to set up the next title match after challenging him two weeks ago.

Prediction: MJF

Kris Statlander & Babes of Wrath (c) vs. Triangles of Madness [6-Women Tag Match]

Kris Statlander and Babes of Wrath have all the championships in the women’s division. Statlander has the World Title, Willow Nightingale has the TBS Title, and Babes of Wrath collectively have the tag titles. It would be a bad look for the division as a whole if the champions lost to three non-champions in a 6-women tag.

Granted, the Triangles of Madness could win to solidify their spots as number one contenders. Sisters of Sin, which consists of Julia Hart and Skye Blue, could target the tag titles while Thekla targets either the TBS Title or World Title. However, there are better ways to solidify number contenders than make the champs look weak.

Prediction: PowerPuff Girls

Darby Allin vs. PAC [Personal Rivalry]

Darby Allin lost to PAC at AEW Full Gear. This booking decision befuddled many fans because they presumed that Allin would run through all the Death Riders before reaching the final boss, Jon Moxley. However, it seems that Allin will have to jump through more hoops than he did on Mount Everest to reach championship gold.

Originally, it seemed that Allin would be rewarded with the AEW World Title when Moxley was champion at the time. However, Moxley lost the World Title at All In and has now won the Continental Classic Title as a consolation prize. Since his end goal is Moxley, that will very well be Allin’s next championship in AEW.

Prediction: Darby Allin

Young Bucks vs. GOA vs. JetSpeed vs. Don Callis Family [AEW Tag Title #1C Match]

Since FTR are heel champs, it is more likely that a babyface challenger steps up to the plate, which narrows it down to either JetSpeed or Young Bucks. JetSpeed needs the win most as they are rising stars who have had some killer matches and solid rubs throughout the year without the gold to show for it. The spotlight is theirs to take.

On the other hand, Young Bucks are the most established team with a ton of history with FTR. They are, by default, the betting favorites to win, especially after their recent babyface turn for choosing their friends over money. Thanks to that CM Punk dig, challenging Punk’s boys in FTR seems to be the logical yet petty next step.

Prediction: Young Bucks

  • MJF (c) vs. Bandido for the AEW World Title
  • Kris Statlander & Babes of Wrath vs. Triangles of Madness in a 6-Women Tag Match
  • Darby Allin vs. PAC in an Exhibition Match
  • Young Bucks vs. GOA vs. JetSpeed vs. Don Callis Family in an AEW Tag Title #1C Match
