AEW Full Gear 2025 is is scheduled to take place on November 22, 2025, live on PPV, at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, and Mercedes Mone is scheduled to battle Kris Statlander for the AEW World Title in what could be her 15th title in AEW. That should be the main event of the show, but AEW has a proclivity of closing the show with the men’s world title match, which is scheduled to be an AEW WrestleDream rematch between Hangman Adam Page and Samoa Joe after the Opps turned heel in a shocking turn of events. AEW has also introduced two new titles: AEW Tag Team Championships for the women and the AEW National Championship for the men. A tournament was created for the AEW Women’s Tag Titles, for which the finals will take place at this event, and a casino gauntlet match was booked for the AEW National Title with some surprise entrants to be announced. Without further ado, here are the official AEW Full Gear 2025 Predictions.
Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Mone [AEW World Championship]
Although it was special to see Kris Statlander get her flowers and win the AEW World Title after being a strong pillar for the women’s division, it is questionable as to why she won it now when the bigger story this year was between two juggernauts in Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone. Toni Storm broke the Mercedes Mone singles winning streak at AEW All In, and it would have made more sense for Mone to redeem herself against Storm in a rematch at this event. Instead, Mone is battling Statlander in a rematch from last year’s Full Gear, where they fought for the TBS Title. Statlander is known to be a streak breaker herself, as she did end Jade Cargill’s singles winning streak to win the TBS Title back in 2023. However, it looks like history will repeat itself with Mone collecting another title at the expense of Statlander. Despite how overpushed she is, she has the most momentum in the AEW Women’s Division today, so it would be baffling if she failed another world title opportunity.
Prediction: Mercedes Mone
Brodido (c) vs. FTR [AEW Tag Titles]
Brodido seems like a failed experiment as tag champions. It is questionable as to why AEW put an abrupt halt to Hurt Syndicate’s momentum as tag champions to promote this makeshift team with zero storyline potential. Hurt Syndicate was giving the fans some engaging television in their short term partnership with MJF, and it just feels that AEW stripped all of that away without giving the fans anything better. Now, they are stuck feuding with The Demand in a feud that is as meaningless as a weekly episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The tag titles have lost prestige since the Hurt Syndicate lost them, and AEW needs to end this drought with Brodido. FTR winning the tag titles is also the right call, as they still have unfinished business with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage after dropping Beth Copeland on her head at All Out in Canada and they can capitalize on their long term storyline with Cope and Cage in a higher stake situation with the titles on the line.
Prediction: FTR
Kyle Fletcher (c) (w/Don Callis) vs. Mark Briscoe [AEW TNT Championship]
Orange Cassidy should be in position to win the TNT Title, but it seems they have other plans for him on this PLE, as he is in home court territory. AEW went with someone else in the Conglomeration with Mark Briscoe, who is long overdue for a championship run. A stipulation was added to this match that pretty much gives away the winner. The stipulation is: If Mark Briscoe loses, he will join the Don Callis Family. Not only does Mark Briscoe’s character and gimmick not align with Don Callis Family in any way, shape or form, but also the Don Callis Family has more team members than the New York Yankees. If another member gets added to this group, the group will lose its steam. They added Andrade El Idolo and Hologram to their group recently, and those additions had minimal impact. With that being said, Mark Briscoe is better off without them, and Kyle Fletcher’s title run has been so stale that a title change is warranted sooner rather than later.
Prediction: Mark Briscoe
Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express vs. Josh Alexander & Young Bucks [Trios Match: $1 Million Cash Prize]
Speaking of the Don Callis Family, Josh Alexander feels out of place in this match, but he is included here because the Don Callis Family are trying to recruit Young Bucks and still have beef with Kenny Omega. Since Young Bucks are still trying to win their money back from Jurassic Express after gambling so much at the casino, they found help in the Don Callis Family. The fact that money is on the line for EVPs who wear Gucci on live television is quite ironically risible, to say the least. However, a good laugh won’t hurt anyone. Even though they can’t manage a target, Young Bucks are class acts in every sense of the word when it comes to their storytelling. They betrayed and got under the skin of their closest friends in Kenny Omega and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, who merely want their revenge and intend to make the lives of the most corrupt EVPS absolutely miserable. Meanwhile, Luchasaurus is there for the memes, as he once again lives in someone else’s shadow.
Prediction: Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express
Bobby Lashley vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Ricochet vs. TBA [Casino Gauntlet Match: AEW National Championship]
The last thing AEW needed to do was add another title like this one when it can’t even book their current championships properly. The more championships AEW adds to their company, the less prestige each championship holds. The decision to add this championship right now is even more baffling after AEW already unified the International and Continental Championship with Kazuchika Okada this year and AEW already added women’s tag titles a few weeks before adding this title. All this title will do is take attention away from the women’s tag titles that should have been a major spotlight or this PPV. Nonetheless, there are still some entrants to be announced for this casino gauntlet match, but Orange Cassidy should be the prime candidate to win here, as he is one of the biggest minute to minute draws in the company today and should get a hometown victory here to regain his momentum as a top star in this business.
Prediction: Orange Cassidy
Team Darby Allin vs. Team Jon Moxley [Anarchy In The Arena]
Darby Allin and Jon Moxley have had the feud of the year in AEW. It is likely that their feud will end inside Blood & Guts. However, in case they extend this feud to Full Gear, it is likely that they will end it with some Stadium Stampede or Anarchy in the Arena stipulation. Moxley will obviously have Death Riders in his corner, and Darby Allin will have Bryan Danielson and Sting at his corner. Stemming from the time Moxley stole Allin’s title shot months ago before climbed Mount Everest, this feud has been a means for Moxley to put Allin over so that he can build himself into a main eventer and future world champion. While Allin is long overdue for a world title run, Moxley is also long overdue for a vacation. He was scheduled to take a vacation ever since CM Punk had to relinquish the world title back in 2022-2023, and he has yet to take that vacation. Now that the calendar approaches holiday season, the Death Riders need to be written off so that Allin can move onto the next chapter.
Prediction: Team Darby Allin
Timeless Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa vs. Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron [AEW Tag Team Championships]
Dr. Britt Baker D/M.D. and Jamie Hayter should have been the top candidates to win the tag titles here. Tony Khan constantly talks about how hopeful he is for a Baker return, but he neglected to bring her back for this tournament. Also, these championships were created to highlight talent, such as Anna Kay and Tay Melo, who are not usually showcased for the TBS Title and World Title. Instead, AEW is using this tournament as a consolation prize for talent like Mercedes Mone and Athena as well as Timeless Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa, who already had enough time in the spotlight. There is no doubt that those talent would keep the titles prestigious and be a great start for those titles. However, this tournament really showed how this division lacks the depth and trust it needs to advance to the next level, and that sentiment is compounded with the fact that AEW rarely signs women talent they desperately needs, like Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox, and Sonya Deville, just to name a few.
Prediction: Timeless Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa
Hangman Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe [AEW World Championship]
The storyline between Hangman Adam Page and Samoe Joe is quite absurd, as there has been little explanation as to why the Opps turned heel by being sore losers and attacking Hangman Adam Page at WrestleDream. Anyone would be remiss to not notice that Adam Page is an impeccable chaser for the title. However, once he actually wins the title and is expected to be the top dog, he falls below expectations. He did this in his first reign and is subject to the same booking vices for his second reign. There is no doubt that this world title reign has been an absolute dud and there was minimal foresight as to what value this title reign was supposed to bring to AEW Television. Hangman once vowed to defend AEW from anyone who tries to burn it down, but he has failed to defend it against its egregious ratings. He will retain against Joe, who is already the Trios Champion, but MJF has to return and cash in his world title contract because he’s the “best in the world” and Hangman knows it.
Prediction: MJF
