Seth Rollins was last seen in the WWE when he lost a major World Heavyweight Title Match to Roman Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam. That match was the culmination of the Shield story, which lasted for twelve long years due to the fact that Reigns never defeated Seth Rollins when it mattered most. Now that they finally buried the hatchet and provided some closure to that story, Rollins disappeared without explanation. Since Rollins rarely does this, many fans online felt bewildered.
Recent reports and rumors have shown that Seth Rollins did work some house show matches in South America. However, he has not been back on television, as he is taking some time off and enjoying time out of the spotlight for once in his career. The real question is: When he does return, what could Seth Rollins do next? Could he get involved in the Bloodline story with Royce Keys and OTM? Could he get involved in the Vision story with Oba Femi? Could he do a story with Becky Lynch?
What if Seth Rollins went to SmackDown?
The possibilities are endless, but there’s even a chance that Seth Rollins may not even return on Raw. When everyone asks: Where in the blue hell is Seth Rollins in WWE? Maybe “the blue hell” is the blue brand, SmackDown. If Rollins went to SmackDown, he could mix it up with the likes of CM Punk, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Gunther, and Finn Balor in the main event scene. This will be more beneficial to him than being a second-rate draw on Raw while Reigns holds the World Title hostage.
If Seth Rollins gets involved in the Bloodline story with Royce Keys and OTM, he would likely help The Bloodline in this gang warfare due to the mutual respect he showed with Roman Reigns in the closing moments of SummerSlam. Now that they are done feuding, reuniting The Shield would elicit a huge reaction from the fans and intensify the excitement for Survivor Series, where not only The Shield debuted but also where War Games occur for faction wars and blood feuds such as this one.
If Seth Rollins gets involved in the Vision story with Oba Femi, he would likely help Femi since he still had beef with the Vision even after defeating Bron Breakker in their trilogy during the summer. In fact, Rollins was the visionary who summoned Femi to challenge The Beast, Brock Lesnar, on the road to Mania while he was dealing with his unfinished business with The Vision. With War Games coming up at Survivor Series, Rollins would be the perfect star for Femi to recruit on his team.
If Seth Rollins gets involved in a story with Becky Lynch, it would likely be mixed tag match action against Liv Morgan and Dirty Dominik Mysterio. Liv is upset that Becky Lynch screwed her out of the World Title when she was special guest referee for her match against Stephanie Vaquer in Chile. Liv Morgan even insulted Rollins as a husband in Becky’s face, so this would be an effective way to kickstart a fresh feud for Rollins on Raw while still having a reasonable motive to help his wife.
Consequently, even when Rollins is absent from WWE television and focusing on NFL, it is easy to surmise what he could do upon return due to how many seeds he strategically planted upon departure. WWE can make fun of Rollins being the third wheel in professional wrestling all they want, but he has left an indelible mark in the WWE in the 2010s and continues to do so now. The fans will undoubtedly cheer for him with absolute fervor as he seamlessly weaves his way back into storylines.
