AEW Dynasty 2026 Predictions: MJF Will Bury Kenny Omega For Being Boring

AEW Dynasty is taking place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on Sunday, April 12, 2026., live on PPV, and MJF will bury Kenny Omega for being boring in the main event. So far, the scheduled matches are MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title,  Jon Moxley (c) vs. Will Ospreay in a Non-Title Match, and FTR (c) vs. Adam Copeland & Christian Cage for the AEW Tag Team Titles. Without further ado, here are the AEW Dynasty 2026 Predictions.

FTR (c) vs. Young Bucks vs. Cope & Christian [AEW Tag Titles]

FTR dropped Beth Copeland on her neck. The story is simple. Adam Copeland must avenge his wife and win the tag titles with his best friend, Christian Cage. Young Bucks could be included in this match since they had tense stare-offs with both teams in recent weeks. Either way, it should be a show stealer that results in the end of FTR’s title reign. This is probably the best long term story on the entire card, as it tracks back all the way to AEW All Out in September 2025 and was easy to follow.

Prediction: Cope & Christian

Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Harley Cameron [AEW TBS Title]

Willow Nightingale lost the tag titles with her “Babes of Wrath” tag partner, Harley Cameron. This means that dissension in that team could occur, especially since Nightingale still has the TBS Title and Cameron now has nothing. A heel turn for Cameron would be suitable here, as she has always been a solid mid carder with nothing to show for it. She is the ideal contestant to dethrone Willow and set up a really compelling story for former best friends who were the inaugural tag champs.

Prediction: Harley Cameron

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry (c) vs. Ricochet [AEW National Title]

Jungle Boy Jack Perry won the National Title from Ricochet at AEW Revolution in the Zero Hour 21-Man Blackjack Battle Royal. Ricochet has a rematch clause and will likely invoke it, It is unlikely that he will regain the title, especially after his controversial online comments regarding someone with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This would be an effective way to write Ricochet off television so that he can recover from his stupidity. Maybe they can use “real glass” to take him out of commission.

Prediction: “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry

Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe vs. Tommaso Ciampa [AEW TNT Title]

Speaking of bald frauds, Tommaso Ciampa turned heel on Mark Briscoe the same way he turned heel on Johnny Gargano years ago in NXT. He will likely solidify his heel turn by winning the title back that he lost way too soon. Giving Ciampa a transitional reign for his first title in AEW was awful booking, but the heel turn gives a glimmer of hope for redemption. Kyle Fletcher never needed to win the title back, but AEW could not resist having him as champ in their Grand Slam: Australia show.

Prediction: Tommaso Ciampa

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Will Ospreay [Non-Title Match]

Will Ospreay is back to get revenge on Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. During the Owen Hart Tournament last year, he had promised Darby Allin that he would help him get revenge on the Death Riders for wreaking havoc on Dynamite. Since this is a non-title match, it is clear that Osprey will win in his PPV return to set up a title match against Moxley for Double or Nothing in May. He and Allin seem like the biggest threats to Moxley’s title reign due to their rivalrous history with Death Riders.

Prediction: Will Ospreay

Thekla (c) vs. Mercedes Mone [AEW World Title]

Thekla is holding onto the title until Merceces Mone comes back. Toni Storm was the other big threat to the title, but she is reportedly going to be out of action for the entire year. Mone is their biggest star and would tell a great story of winning the top prize after spiraling out of control from dropping all of the mid card belts.. But, here’s the real question: Where are former AEW World Champions, like Hikaru Shida, Riho, Nyla Rose, Thunder Rosa, and most importantly, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.?

Prediction: Mercedes Mone

MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega [AEW World Title]

MJf an Kenny Omega battled once on some random Collision back in 2023, and it was an absolute banger. However, they will have add some story to their feud now that it’s going to be on PPV. They seem to be going for the God vs. Devil idea, but Omega really needs to break out of his shell for this feud. Other than his impeccable in-ring psychology and stellar wrestling maneuvers, he does not tell compelling stories through his mic work. MJF is never losing this title. No one is on his level.

Prediction: MJF
