AEW Dynamite & Collision Predictions: AJ Styles Will Replace Brody King

AEW Dynamite and Collision Predictions are here for February 4, 2026, live on TBS and TNT Network, at the Pearl Theater at the Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, and AJ Styles will replace Brody King in the main event. The biggest surprise last week was Tommaso Ciampa making his debut in AEW and dethroning Mark Briscoe for the TNT Championship. Also, Young Bucks are set to return. As EVPs, they could make a huge announcement regarding their newest acquisition to the roster: AJ Styles.

AEW has scheduled five matches for the card on this episode: Kenny Omega vs. Andrade El Idolo in a #1 Contender’s Match, Ricochet (c) vs. Jack Perry for the AEW National Championship, Hangman Adam Page vs. Mark Davis in a #1 Contender’s Match, Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, & Rascalz vs. Grizzled Young Veterans & Learning Tree, and MJF vs. Brody King in an AEW World Title Eliminator Match, Without further ado, here are the official AEW Dynamite Predictions for February 4, 2026.

Kenny Omega vs. Andrade El Idolo [AEW World Championship Contender Series Match]

Kenny Omega and Andrade El Idolo are both deserving of a World Title opportunity. If Andrade wins, it would be a grandiose opportunity for him to show why he is a main event player. A program with MJF would do wonders for his career and transform him from the mid carder he was portrayed as in WWE. As for Kenny, he is the safe choice and a guaranteed marquee match for MJF at AEW Revolution. They only fought once in AEW history, so it would still be a fresh match-up for the fans.

It was eminently shocking to see Andrade defeat Swerve Strickland last week. That was a major “swerve” booked by Tony Khan (pun intended) and really made Andrade look like a big deal. Solidifying that victory with a World Title shot would make sense. However, defeating two former World Champs in the course of two weeks would be overkill. Omega already planted seeds for a showdown with MJF on the first night after MJF won the belt, and AEW will promptly capitalize on that.

Prediction: Kenny Omega

Ricochet (c) vs. Jack Perry [AEW National Championship]

Ricochet won the AEW National Championship at Full Gear in November. Although he has done nothing notable with the title, two months would be too soon to dethrone the inaugural champion. As a former TNT Champion and pillar of AEW, Jack Perry is a credible challenger and threat to the championship. However, Perry is better off battling in the tag division with Luchasaurus. The tag division needs teams to maintain its prestige, and handing the title to Perry would take away from that.

Prediction: Ricochet

Hangman Page vs. Mark Davis [AEW World Championship Contender Series Match]

Like Omega, Hangman already planted seeds to get a future title shot against MJF. In fact, Hangman still has not gotten his one on one rematch for the title since losing it to Samoa Joe at Full Gear. Henceforth, Page will continue his momentum until he gets that rematch. Furthermore, Mark Davis has no business defeating a former World Champ. He has been booked as a hot tag and is merely fodder for the cowboy. This could lead to a future tag feud for Don Callis Family, Page and Swerve.

Prediction: Hangman Adam Page

Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, & Rascalz vs. Grizzled Young Veterans & Learning Tree [8-Man Tag Match]

This match is taking place on Collision, which means this has a lackluster storyline. AEW has been promoting Rascalz lately, so they need to win to get some momentum in the tag division. However, Learning Tree and Grizzled Young Veterans are more legitimate teams who will “soon be recognized” as the AEW Tag Team Champs in the future. Booking them to win here will be a wake up call for the babyfaces. It could set up a rematch down the line that will hopefully have more story.

Prediction: Grizzled Young Veterans & Learning Tree

MJF (c) vs. Brody King [AEW World Championship Eliminator Match]

As AEW World Champion, MJF should not be losing singles matches on a random weekly episode of Dynamite. Understandably, Brody King wants revenge on MJF for embarrassing his tag partner, Bandido. However, that does not mean he can beat the world champ to get a title match. The worst way for number one contenders to be established is by defeating the champion. The champ would lose credibility by losing those matches, especially to a hot tag who has not won a singles title in AEW.

To spice things up, it would be neat for Young Bucks to return and announce that AJ Styles will battle MJF instead. Styles retired in WWE after losing to Gunther at the Rumble. However, Styles only confirmed that he is retiring in 2026. There are still eleven months left in 2026, and Styles can still have a farewell tour all across the globe. His career was not defined by WWE. He has been in every pro wrestling company, including TNA, NJPW, and ROH. However, he has never been in AEW.

Prediction: MJF

  • Young Bucks Set To Return

  • Ricochet (c) vs. Jack Perry for the AEW National Championship
  • Hangman Page vs. Mark Davis in an AEW World Championship Contenders Series Match
  • Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, & Rascalz vs. Grizzled Young Veterans & Learning Tree
  • MJF (c) vs. Brody King in an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match
