WrestleMania 42 Predictions After Elimination Chamber: Stone Cold Steve Austin Will Replace Roman Reigns

WrestleMania Predictions are here for April 19, 2026, live on ESPN Unlimited, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Stone Cold Steve Austin will replace Roman Reigns in the main event against CM Punk. When Roman Reigns picked CM Punk, it might have been a good decision for ZeBros, but it was a very bad decision for pro wrestling. With that being said, the following will provide some early match card predictions for Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 on April 19, 2026.

LA Knight & Jey Uso (c) vs. Vision [Undisputed Tag Titles]

LA Knight and Jey Uso have been feuding with the Vision all year, so they would be more suitable for this tag match. The Usos are the current Tag Champs, but there is a good chance Vision take him out of commission so that he can go on paternity leave with Naomi. Also, from a business standpoint, due to their similar catchphrases of “Yeah” and “Yeet,” LA Knight and Jey Uso seem like a more marketable team. They will win here to get their ultimate revenge against Logan Paul and Austin Theory.

Prediction: LA Knight & Jey Uso

Giulia (c) (w/Kiana James) vs. Tiffany Stratton [U.S. Title]

Giulia has been an uneventful U.S. Champ, so taking the title away from her for a fresh start would be ideal. There are some top candidates who could dethrone her, like Jordynne Grace, Alexa Bliss, and even her own tag partner, Kiana James. However, the biggest threat is the runner up to both the Rumble and Chamber this year: Tiffany Stratton. After losing the WWE Title to Jade Cargill, a consolation prize seems likely, especially after teasing a pact with Giulia and Kiana James in 2025.

Prediction: Tiffany Stratton

Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn vs. The Miz vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Solo Sikoa vs. Damian Priest vs. Aleister Black [U.S. Title: Ladder Match]

Carmelo Hayes has been doing open challenges as U.S. Champ without a main feud or storyline with a specific rival. This means that his title will be defended in a ladder match against all top mid carders on SmackDown. Since Zayn, Miz, Dragunov, Sikoa, and Priest are all former U.S. Champs, they are suitable for this role. Aleister Black needs the win the most since he has not won any main roster titles in the WWE, but Trick Williams, who has been endorsed by KFC to get pushed, can use those “lemon pepper steppers” to climb faster up that ladder towards his first main roster title, and winning it from his arch nemesis in NXT makes it sweeter.

Prediction: Trick Williams

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi [Dream Match]

Brock Lesnar is rumored to battle either Oba Femi or LA Knight at WrestleMania. LA Knight would make sense since he did eliminate Lesnar from the Rumble and is currently feuding with the Vision. Lesnar is associated with Paul Heyman, who leads the Vision, but he is not necessarily a component of the Vision. Henceforth, Knight is not the ideal opponent. However, there was a tense stare-off between Lesnar and Femi at the Rumble, and this would be a spectacle for the casual fans at Mania. Lesnar eliminated Femi from the Rumble, so it would be advisable for Femi to win his WrestleMania debut by slaying the Beast, who is on the verge of retirement.

Prediction: Oba Femi

Randy Orton vs. Jacob Fatu [Mystery Attacker Storyline]

What if Randy Orton kicked Jacob Fatu’s teeth down his throat with the signature Punt Kick? Maybe Orton did it to protect Cody Rhodes because he saw Fatu as a threat to his star pupil’s title. Maybe Orton did it as a sadistic way to frame Drew and get one step closer to the WWE title that he has been eyeing ever since Rhodes held the title. Orton could have even attacked Fatu as revenge for what Bloodline did to his vulnerable back, but Cody Rhodes, the noble hero who does not back away from challenges and forgives his enemies more generously, would be disappointed in Orton’s actions since he sees him as his role model from their days in Legacy.

Prediction: Randy Orton

Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Liv Morgan [World Title]

Stephanie Vaquer has been a plan B champ ever since Naomi vacated the title, so it is more likely she loses the title to Liv Morgan after already running through her Judgment Day pals in Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Liv has been eyeing that title since her return from injury, as that was the title she made prestigious. She has really helped Vaquer break out of her shell, add layers to her character, and contribute storytelling to her reign, indicating that she is the champ the division needs.

Prediction: Liv Morgan

CM Punk (c) vs. Roman Reigns [World Title]

CM Punk is the best champ WWE has today, but he is a plan B champ ever since Seth Rollins vacated the title. Since Reigns is a part-timer, he should not win the World Title, especially after holding the WWE Title for three full years in recent memory. However, he has defied logic in WWE before, and the fact that he lost his matches at the past two Manias means he has a highly probable chance of winning this year. Nonetheless, Punk should drop the title to a rising prospect, not an established talent.

Prediction: CM Punk
