Charlotte Flair missed the entirety of 2024 after tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus, but her return is imminent, with WWE showing video packages hyping up the return of the Queen.
Although Charlotte is disliked by many fans for winning so many matches, she is respected by many of those same fans and has built up a legion of loyal followers for her work over the years, which includes some of the most important matches of the 2010s and 2020s.
A 13-champion already on the main roster, Charlotte Flair will undoubtedly have a major role to play at WWE WrestleMania 41 upon her return, as the company will want to take advantage of her name recognition and the impact a return from a serious injury will have on fans.
Charlotte Flair could have a world title match at WWE WrestleMania 41
According to a report from WrestleVotes, WWE are discussing the idea of having Charlotte face new WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, who recently won her first main roster title by cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Nia Jax.
Charlotte vs. Stratton would be an interesting clash of styles, putting the brash-talking, fastest-rising wrestler on the WWE main roster against a mainstay and multi-time champion in Flair.
Flair can always be counted on to deliver in the biggest matches, and the fact that she will be coming back from a major injury into the main title scene will be an additional layer that Stratton can use to fuel chip-on-her-shoulder promos.
Most fans will want to see Stratton win even though she is a heel, but there will be enough casual fans in the audience hoping for a feel-good return win and story from The Queen, making it work and giving a great atmosphere of dueling chants at a big venue in Las Vegas.
There may not be a better opponent in WWE right now for Stratton to have a WrestleMania title defense as a first-team champion than Flair, whose love for the spotlight ranks up there with any of the current icons in professional wrestling.
